Retirement – A Tough Choice

After many years as a researcher, practicing general surgeon, and health care administrator I decided to hang up my stethoscope in 2014. It was a tough call informed by the time I owed my family and health issues. Retirement is a difficult decision for a physician. It took some time but in the end, retirement is not so bad. I hope my friends and colleagues find an easy transition into the end of their professional lives. You owe it to yourself and your family.
