In Search of Understanding – MBA

After twenty years of general surgery private practice, I had witnessed the rapid evolution of healthcare in the United States. Not all of the changes were for the better. It became clear that if I was to continue my patient advocacy I would need to add business leadership to my skill set. So it was that I set out to obtain yet another post-graduate degree. This time I completed a Masters of Business Administration specializing in executive healthcare administration at the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
